Here’s an interesting question for you, especially if you’re a business-owner, or the recipient of the swine flu virus.
How do you know for sure if you have swine flu?
And, could this be a problem in the making for the business in terms of time off?
Well let’s answer the first question. Here’s a quick rundown of the symptoms:
- Fever
- Lethargy (in other words, having fatigue (also called exhaustion, lethargy, languidness, languor, lassitude, and listlessness). You’re tired.
- Lack of appetite. You’re not really interesting in eating much.
- Cough. You’ve got a cough that you just can’t seem to get rid of.
- Runny nose
- Sore throat
- Nausea and feeling dizzy. Many people who have the Swine Flu have reportedly been feeling dizzy.
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea

Clearly the second question is answered if you get a lot of employees off with swine flu. Your business could be severely affected. One thing to remember though, is that swine flu isn’t more deadly than normal flu, so just take standard cleanliness precautions, and if an employee or member of their family has it, tell them to stay off work.
