This is a very unique and bespoke example of a frosted vinyl sign in place. Reverse-cut so it can be applied to the inside of the window (which also afford it obvious protection from the elements), these signs also incorporate elements from other fields of sign-making such as wide format printing (the logos).
The picture on the right shows the frosted vinyls in place during the day.

Here is a hair-raising sight, if you don’t like heights. Luckily the fitters who went here apparently don’t mind them so much. This is on the 15th floor of the building.
The fitters were fitting the cut out letters that you can just see behind the safety netting.

Constructed in several bits, this university sign is put together on-site, and from looking at this picture, with difficulty.
With the right equipment though, and wearing the right safety gear, the sign got put up on time.

Vinyl Sign 44
Although this can be achieved by other means, such as vinyl text on modularized slatz, here is an example of a wayfinding sign that uses wide format printed vinyl onto an aluminium monoform backing. This is then secured to posts, and the posts are dug into the ground and secured with concrete.
Clearly from the wide format printed vinyl sign itself you can see that it is an educational sign (University sign) from the University of Salford, but that is also a corporate symbol and registered trademark.

Bespoke Sign 48
This bespoke sign for the local East Lindsey District Council, constructed using aluminium composite, a printed vinyl face and several document holders on the front.
This is also a corporate sign because of the council and private corporate logos on the sign, and because of the intricate and detailed maps on the sign front, a wayfinding sign.
