Here we can see one of the fitters putting the finishing touches to a sign on the seafront. Wearing safety gear, using the appropriate stepladders, and with gear close at hand in the van, this is how they should all work.

We do a lot of vehicle liveries, some have lots of vinyl, others have just one or two bits such as a logo and telephone information. Vehicle livery can be very elegant, stylish, but in the same way it can be simple and just there to get information across.
Sometimes though, vehicle livery, as in this example, can serve the purpose of getting information across and also being a safety factor. Here you can clearly see, at night, the reflective vinyl acting to show just how large the vehicle is, which in the dark may be difficult to see.

The beauty of printed vinyl, wide format printing in our case, the colours, gradients and combinations of shadows, borders, and other effects can really make a difference to a sign.
Here is an educational sign for Campion School showing that we can print in more than one language (which is thoroughly checked) and with a fine gradient background.

This is a large plaque and plinth with vibrant colours – the engraving section in the brushed aluminium was then paint filled with the colours. Like many engraved signs we work on, this design was provided for us and with just a bit of tweaking was ready for the customer.

Large pieces of wide format printed vinyl are useful for such things as site boards where a lot of information needs displaying in a large area. In this case as you can clearly see, the University of Huddersfield has a building site, and alongside the sidings they have these large printed vinyl sections.
The wide format printing is applied to aluminium composite sheets. The wide format printed vinyl itself has a layer of protective clear vinyl applied on top, right after printing, to ensure that it will last in the elements.

Bespoke Sign 44
This is a bespoke sign that everyone is particularly proud of, a monolith sign constructed by hand for special purpose, not from any pre-made or pre-cast forms. The facing is sprayed, the cap, perspex face (on some versions of this sign), posts, and footings are all unique.
You can easily see the mirrored vinyl on the front of the sign, a special material brought in for these signs, and very delicate especially when applying. The directions, names and so on, are all different for all of the signs we constructed in this series, but all bear the same layout.
The bespoke sign itself is made from a piece of aluminium composite, with various pieces of vinyl text.
