A very unusual and interesting sign this bespoke sign uses the glass divider as the substrate to attach vinyl to either side to create this wonderful privacy effect.

On one side is the black vinyl, with the wide format printing including the logos; and on the other side there is a layer of frosted vinyl to complete the privacy appearance.

Here is a great material that has SO many uses. In this case as you can see there are several elements of style that are used, to create an overall effect that is highly functional.

The first is the clearly visible writing, cut out of the frosted vinyl indicating where you are (although that might be obvious). The second is the style and shape of the frosted vinyl itself, the gentle curving and inline cut-out border reminiscent of Westerns and hotels in the frontier towns.

In this particular case the frosted vinyl has been reverse cut and applied on the other side of the door, perhaps for security purposes to prevent the vinyl from being subjected to the elements?

Delicate and intricate work can be easily achieved using frosted vinyl signs and here is a good example of an educational sign with the school crest and motto displayed on a glass panel.

The frosted vinyl has been applied in reverse to the other side, to protect is a bit more. Once applied to the glass, a further layer on the back of the frosted vinyl is applied (clear) to ensure that it lasts a long time.

This is a innovative example of a frosted vinyl sign at work – here showing the East Lindsey District Council corporate ‘swish’ on a door. Cut with frosted vinyl, reverse-cut and applied to the inside of the door after the room number, this has a beautiful effect and doubles to also serve as a manifestation on the door (graphics on glass doors to show where the glass is).

If you wanted to consider these are a type of safety sign you wouldn’t be wrong, as they inform people of the location of heavy glass doors.

An example of a reverse-cut frosted vinyl sign applied on the back side of a window to show through to the other side. You can see that the frosted vinyl sign is the main effect, shielding the contents of the room inside from nosy eyes as well as imparting the information on the sign.

The colours are achieved using the same effect, reverse applied vinyls onto the glass.

This sign is a corporate sign because it is used in a university setting. It is a bespoke sign, designed specifically for the university.
