Many road signs are very plain and just show the name of the road. Occasionally you will see city road signs that have the name of the local district council or perhaps the county council.
This one that you see in the image to the right, is a bit more inclusive, and has the extra information of the numbers of the houses in the cul-de-sac or that side of the street.

Road signs tell us everything we need to know, or could possibly want to know, about the road ahead of us. Many of them are red warning signs, triangular in shape, telling us of something in the road ahead.
