A heavy duty 11g aluminium sign with wide format printing and vinyl lettering. To protect it from the elements and to help it last many years, a protective clear vinyl cover is applied on top.
All signs are really bespoke, some more than others. Here is an example of a highly customized sign using a variety of materials to create something truly unique.
An elegant corporate sign this is constructing using clear perspex with reverse-cut vinyl text applied to the underside. Fixed onto the wall using locators, this is a very stylish and sough-after corporate sign.
This highly bespoke modular sign is one that is made to order, one of several for the location. The lettering is applied using vinyl lettering, with a clear protective vinyl overlay to alleviate vandalism and weathering.
It is not often that we get to take a photograph like this, matching livery on two vehicles, van and it's attached box trailer. This is clearly vehicle livery, by using applied vinyl, both of the same design with some minor alterations for size.
Whether printing using wide format printers or smaller pieces through vinyl cutting, the world of signs would be nothing without vinyl signs. This concave wall print is large, but printed to a fine focus, producing an excellent wall sign.

The material being used here is acrylic that is manufactured to hold the tactile section, and then drilled to hold the braille rasters.

It goes without saying that putting a sign in the right place can mean all the difference, right? Placing a fire exit sign that points the wrong way, for example, is useless and quite frankly, dangerous.
This is why it is important for professional signmakers to fit the signs they make. Why? Because the sign fitters (especially here at GRS) have been trained in the correct placement of different types of signs. Take that fire exit sign I mentioned as an example. If it pointed to the right, would you place it well before the corridor has a right turn, just before the turn, or just above the right turn?
Another example that we run into several times is the correct placement of tactile and braille signs. Putting tactile and braille signs above doorways for example, isn’t really thinking about who the sign is tailored towards – the visually impaired. Again, placing it too low, isn’t useful either.

This is similar to the customise sign page, letting the customer select the symbol/text they want, colour, text colour and so on.
