This is a local college sign that involves a variety of disciplines from sign-making, such as the aluminium composite tray, the wide format printed vinyl logo, and the vinyl text for the lettering.

The entire sign has a protective matt clear vinyl layer applied on top to protect it from the elements.

Here is an example of a modular college sign that has had a life before, shown here with the college putting a new livery on the top section. This new livery is created with wide format printed vinyl with a protective matt clear vinyl face on it, applied to both sides of this sign on site.

College signs are just the same as any other sign, made from the same array of materials – this one is made from aluminium composite, and fixed in place to the wall.

The coat-of-arms design is made using wide format printing applied to the aluminium composite, and the remaining letters are vinyl text and graphics applied to the aluminium composite. In this case this makes the sign a profile sign, or what is known as cut out letters.

Here is a very bespoke example of a college sign – the shape is very popular and attractive, and the sign is fashioned from aluminium composite, a light and durable material.

The text and border are applied with vinyl text and graphics, with the image on the left of the school name being created by wide format printing, bearing the corporate image/logo.

This college sign is an example of the melding of several different kinds of sign. First off, the educational nature is obvious, but you will also see the corporate logo (the tree) as well as numerous other corporate logos in the section beneath.

The very bottom modular section of the sign is taken up by a small bit of wayfinding, directing visitors to parts of the school.

The sign itself is constructed using aluminium, and fixed into place using posts.
