At the front of many schools these days this primary school sign is very distinctive and clear.

The sign itself is constructed using aluminium, fitted securely to posts and concreted into place. The face is created with wide format printed vinyl.

You can see in the bottom left corner a corporate logo.

As you can clearly see this primary school sign has a very bespoke shape. In the bottom left and bottom right corners of the main sign you can see corporate logos.

This sign is created using large aluminium sheets, cut into shape then the image and lettering achieved by using vinyl text.

University Sign 40

A very large university sign for the University of Lincoln this is large aluminium composite tray formed into shape, shipped out and installed on site. The wording comes from delicate mirrored vinyl which is carefully applied and has a great effect on such a large sign like this.

This is one large sign! Constructed in several bits, this university sign is put together on-site, and from looking at this picture, with difficulty.

With the right equipment though, and wearing the right safety gear, the sign got put up on time.

Vinyl Sign 44

Although this can be achieved by other means, such as vinyl text on modularized slatz, here is an example of a wayfinding sign that uses wide format printed vinyl onto an aluminium monoform backing. This is then secured to posts, and the posts are dug into the ground and secured with concrete.

Clearly from the wide format printed vinyl sign itself you can see that it is an educational sign (University sign) from the University of Salford, but that is also a corporate symbol and registered trademark.

The beauty of printed vinyl, wide format printing in our case, the colours, gradients and combinations of shadows, borders, and other effects can really make a difference to a sign.

Here is an educational sign for Campion School showing that we can print in more than one language (which is thoroughly checked) and with a fine gradient background.

The sign is constructed using aluminium composite, a durable, flexible material, with the wide format printed vinyl applied over the top, and then another layer of clear vinyl is applied on top of that to ensure the sign will last for several years in the elements.

This is a local college sign that involves a variety of disciplines from sign-making, such as the aluminium composite tray, the wide format printed vinyl logo, and the vinyl text for the lettering.

The entire sign has a protective matt clear vinyl layer applied on top to protect it from the elements.

Here is a school awards sign that is focused on Activemark, a sports focused school award. This is a style of sign called a prestige sign.

The design itself is made from reverse-cut vinyl applied to the back side of the perspex, which is then held to the surface (wall etc.,) with locators.

Sometimes the school awards signs aren’t fixed to walls using locators but instead are presented with hardwood plinths. Attached firmly to them, seamlessly in this case, they are a prestigious award for any school to obtain.

The design itself is made from reverse-cut vinyl applied to the back side of the perspex, which is then fixed to the plinth. These come in several colours, depending on which award the school achieved, black, silver and gold.
