Richly coloured and very smart-looking educational signage can make a school (in this particular case) stand out. The dark deep blue and all of the text and logo on this primary school sign are all created by wide format printing, all put onto a rigid aluminium composite substrate.

This sign is fixed into place using aluminium posts.

Also note the corporate logo in the bottom left hand corner showing the authority responsible.

Wayfinding Sign 52

When we are looking for photographs to display on the site, we try to find signage that displays the more well-known aspects of each signage category; for example wayfinding signage that shows different locations and how to get there.

But there is also this kind of wayfinding signage, signs that display the location at the end of the arrows. This is one such sign, showing the room number and name, and in this particular case the university corporate logo.

Universities are a prime example of sites that need accurate and legible wayfinding signs, students, staff, and visitors all need to get to their destinations with the minimum of fuss.

The sign has been positioned in a very prominent location, and carefully placed by the fitters too, so as not to disturb existing flowerbeds.

Constructed from aluminium composite and aluminium posts, with wide format printed vinyl showing the carefully thought out design.

As an anti-vandalism measure, an extra layer of vinyl has been added.

Primary School Sign 42

School signs are unique to each school, we have never come across any that are standardised. Because of this, this primary school sign should also be considered a bespoke sign.

The sign itself, the primary panel and the two secondary panels, are created from solid 11g aluminium. These are strong and provide a base for the wide format printed vinyl panels that are applied on top.

Like many of the signs that we design and create, these panels all have an extra vinyl layer to protect the signs from the elements.

Many educational signs have emblems or logos emblazoned on them, a pride reminder for a school to tell where they came from. Some are heraldic shields, others are more modern, such as this one for Healing School.

Created using wide format printing, the sign has a welcome text, the school’s name and logo, and this is fixed to a permanent aluminium composite backing.

There are of course many different kinds of signs, all different kinds of shapes, sizes, colours, and there are a lot of designs that can go into a sign. This is a college sign that displays several different logos that they are clearly, and rightfully, proud of. The first is the school logo, there is also one in the bottom right displaying what the school is for, and there is the Ofsted logo in the bottom left.

The sign is created using aluminium, a material that will help the sign survive the rigours of the outdoors. The face is created using wide format printing, with a matt overlaminate for protection and longevity.

Primary School Sign 40

An elegant primary school sign that is a combination of various kinds of signs. It is clearly a type of corporate sign (the Horsenden logo and the Ealing council logo), and manufactured from a type of heavy duty 11g aluminium.

This is also another kind of sign, a useful kind – a road sign as you can see from the bottom detached section, the pedestrian symbol and the vehicle symbol.

This is also a double-sided sign, held firmly in place by two anodised aluminium poles.

Primary school signs need to be very clear and distinctive.

The sign itself is constructed using aluminium, fitted securely to posts and concreted into place. The face is created with wide format printed vinyl.

You can see in the bottom left corner a corporate logo.

As you can clearly see this primary school sign has a very bespoke shape. In the bottom left and bottom right corners of the main sign you can see corporate logos.

This sign is created using large aluminium sheets, cut into shape then the image and lettering achieved by using vinyl text.

University Sign 40

A very large university sign for the University of Lincoln, this large aluminium composite tray formed into shape, shipped out and installed on site. The wording comes from delicate mirrored vinyl which is carefully applied and has a great effect on such a large sign like this.
