It really is a simple truth to say that engraved signs do look very impressive. Time and effort goes into them, especially a richly polished brass engraved sign such as the one in the image.

Isn’t that a beautiful sign? This engraving is a solid piece of dark grey slate, which has been carefully engraved and paint-filled with a rich silver colour to leave us with this truly stunning engraved sign.
Slate is not a material that is widely used for signs, which is a great pity since it has such a wonderful appearance. It is a more expensive material, certainly, but it can be used in many situations where aluminium signs are now used.

Although brass plaques are something that we do a lot of, this one stands out because of the additional colours. The engraving we normally do is lettering which we paint-fill black, but here there was some extra additions in the form of the flower.
The plaques that we do, no matter what material we create them from be it brass, aluminium, stainless steel etc., are usually fitted to a wooden plinth. Customers get a choice of material for the plinth from a variety of woods.
They look good when mounted on a wall and last for many years.
