Perhaps a bit of overkill, but here is a cherry picker with the fitting team in action, close to the ground (maybe -too- close to the ground?).

Needless to say the fitters followed the prescribed safety protocols, they are wearing the required safety gear and they are harnessed to the cherry picker.

The profile sign that they are erecting is for a corporate client, ConocoPhillips, and they will last many years.

Here is a good picture of a set of cut-out letters, commonly known as a profile sign. The colours are ConocoPhillips’ corporate colours, as is the design.

The individual cut out letters are attached permanently to the wall and will last for a long time out in the english weather.

The letters themselves are created using aluminium composite.

University Sign 30

Hardly difficult to see who this is for, this is a highly bespoke university sign for a prestigious University. This is listed as an university sign but just as important are its properties as a profile sign, more commonly known as cut out letters, the letters raised from the wall that they are attached to.

College Sign 27

College signs are just the same as any other sign, made from the same array of materials – this one is made from aluminium composite, and fixed in place to the wall.

The coat-of-arms design is made using wide format printing applied to the aluminium composite, and the remaining letters are vinyl text and graphics applied to the aluminium composite. In this case this makes the sign a profile sign, or what is known as cut out letters.
