This ultimately bespoke sign is what is termed a ‘tray’, but is constructed entirely from aluminium composite, a tough substrate material.
The printing area you can see is wide format printed, and has a further vinyl layer on top to protect the printing from the elements (which undoubtedly it will encounter being where it is).

Not every sign that you see or that we produce is just a bit of flat aluminium composite – here you can see that functionality also plays a big part in some signage.
This particular bespoke signage has a variety of different sign types involved, with the wide format printed vinyl background on an aluminium composite backboard, the clipframes that holds the various bits of A4 paper, and the perspex A4 holders along the bottom including the perspex lockbox, all of which are highly bespoke.

Wayfinding Sign 51
This style of directional sign is a type of wayfinding sign called a fingerpost. They are very good, when positioned correctly, at accurately directing someone to a location, more so than a traditional flat sign with a list of locations and arrows. It is however, used for places where there are less locations to direct to.
Placed on a single aluminium post, the fingerposts themselves are made from 11g aluminium. The text and logo is created using wide format printing with an anti-vandalism layer added on top.

Primary School Sign 42
School signs are unique to each school, we have never come across any that are standardised. Because of this, this primary school sign should also be considered a bespoke sign.
The sign itself, the primary panel and the two secondary panels, are created from solid 11g aluminium. These are strong and provide a base for the wide format printed vinyl panels that are applied on top.
Like many of the signs that we design and create, these panels all have an extra vinyl layer to protect the signs from the elements.

Profile Sign 39
A highly complex and easily visible sign (the letters are quite large) this profile sign is individually fixed to the metal cladding and the building.
Constructed from aluminium composite, these individual letters then have wide format printing applied on top. This then has a further anti-vandalism layer of vinyl added.
The design, as can be seen from the picture, has an undulating highlight that passes along several letters, created in the design phase and transferred to the individual letters via the wide format printing.
